Skill Development Training Programme (ASCI)
In collaboration with Agriculture Skill Council of India, Indian Council of Agricultural Research took an initiative of taking up entrepreneurship development programmes through imparting skill training by KVKs during 2016-17. This was in consonance with the directives received from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India. Till 2022-23, KVKs/ SAUs/ ICAR Institutes of this Zone were assigned with the job of undertaking the training programmes in the line of ASCI norms. The total number of training programme was 245 on 153 different job roles benefitting 4632 farmers and rural youths. Budgetary allocation was Rs. 512.00 lakhs during the period.
